Tension pneumocephalus

Presentation

30 year old with history of head injury presented with headache. Initial MRI showed a right subdural collection which was drained.

Patient Data

Age: 30
Gender: Male

There is bifrontal pneumocephalus causing separation of the cerebral hemisphere, consistent with tension pneumocephaly with a Mount Fuji sign. Bilateral temporal parietal FLAIR hyperintensities were consistent with contusions.
