Incidental finding on imaging for trauma reasons.

Patient Data

Age: 35 years
Gender: Male

Small thin plate of fat density laying on the superior face of tentorium cerebelli.

MRI Brain (selected images)

Well defined fat lesion is again demonstrated on the tentorium cerebelli expressing high T1 and FLAIR signal.

Case Discussion

It is unclear if this represents an intracranial lipoma (intradural) or fat within the tentorium, analogous to fatty falx cerebri. In either case, it is an incidental finding of no clinical significance.
