Testicular torsion

Left testis: edematous, heterogeneous echopattern, no flow on color Doppler imaging.
Twist of left spermatic cord is noted.
Right testis: normal.
Case Discussion
Findings of testicular torsion and infarction, third day after onset of complaints.
Surgery a few hours later demonstrated a non-viable testis: orchiectomy performed.
