Thoracic vertebral metastasis

Presentation

Back pain. Past history of renal carcinoma and breast cancer.

Patient Data

Age: 70 years
Gender: Female
mri

This MRI thoracic spine demonstrates a contrast enhancing lesion at T1 level. There is a complete collapse of the T1 vertebra and severe central canal stenosis at the same level. 

Case Discussion

Patient went on to have corpectomy and histology showed metastasis from renal carcinoma.
