Presentation

Midline neck swelling, slightly painful and moves with deglutition.

Gender: Male

CT of the neck of a child with a midline neck mass demonstrates a cystic well circumscribed mass between the strap muscles and immediately below the hyoid bone. There is no convincing solid component.

ultrasound

On Ultrasound the mass appears of intermediate echogenicity.

Findings are consistent with a thyroglossal duct cyst.
