Tibial plateau fracture: Schatzker type IV

Fall from stairs. Unable to weight-bear.

Age: 50 years

Although the fracture line is not clearly seen, there is evidence of depression of the medial tibial plateau. Moderated amount of joint fluid noted distending the suprapatellar recess. Narrowing of the medial compartment of the femorotibial joint with no associated osteophytes.

Fracture with split and depression of the medial aspect of the tibial plateau associated with moderate hemarthrosis. No other fractures seen.
