Transverse myelitis

T2 hyperintense lesion in the lower thoracic cord with slight mass effect and no corresponding T1 signal abnormality.
Case Discussion
The patient rapidly developed neurological symptoms, which resolved over the course of weeks. Follow up MRI three months later demonstrated significant reduction is the size of the lesion. It is felt to be consistent with transverse myelitis.
No T1 abnormalitiy or enhancement.
