Traumatic Achilles tendon rupture

Presentation

Sports injury. Hit with a a hockey stick accidentally. Very tender around the posterior aspect of the right ankle joint. Unable to walk on it.

Patient Data

Age: 35 years
Gender: Male

There is complete disruption of the Achilles tendon fibers consistent with complete rupture.

 No evidence of fracture or bone edema.
