Traumatic aortic injury with pseudoaneurysm and mediastinal hematoma.
Partial collapse of the left lower lobe. Areas of contusion/aspiration. No pneumothorax.
Comminuted right scapular fracture. Right third, fourth (anterior and posterior), fifth, six, and seventh rib fractures. Undisplaced transverse fracture through the anterior and posterior cortex of the manubrium. T3 and T4 spinous process fractures.
Case Discussion
Traumatic aortic injuries most commonly (90%) occur at the thoracic aorta isthmus. They have a high mortality.
