Pedestrian knocked down after being hit by a car at approximately 30 mph.

Patient Data

Age: 25 years
Gender: Female

Polytrauma CT on admission

Severe left sided injury with renal hypoperfusion, splenic laceration, hematoma and hemoperitoneum.

Case Discussion

Pedestrian-vs-car RTC with severe left sided injuries. No radiological intervention was available at this small district general hospital and patient required surgery to stabilize her condition.
