Subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) within the right sylvian fissure and cerebral contusions located at the right temporal pole and extensive scalp swelling on the left. Typical coup-contrecoup pattern.
Case Discussion
Typical appearances of traumatic subarachnoid hemorrhage should still, especially when located near the circle of willis / posterior fossa / sylvian fissure, be investigated for a possible underlying aneurysm. In some instances the head injury is the result of a spontaneous subarachnoid.
