Tuberculoma - intraventricular

Diagnosis probable

Presentation

Complaint of vomiting and imbalance while walking. History of pulmonary tuberculosis.

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Male

Intensely enhancing lesions are seen in the atrium and temporal horns of both lateral ventricles which shows heterogeneously hyperintense signal on the T2W and FLAIR images. A small enhancing lesion is also seen in the right cerebellum. These findings most likely represent tuberculoma.

Follow-up MRI

Follow up scan after few months of anti-tuberculosis medications shows significant improvement in the enhancing lesions at both the lateral ventricles.

Case Discussion

The imaging findings represents intraventricular and right cerebellar tuberculomas. The follow up scans after treatment for tuberculosis the lesions shows significant improvement.
