Case Discussion

An umbilical ring ('belly button' ring) is a form of jewelry worn by both men and women, although more commonly sported by the latter.

They come in a range of shapes and designs and may be observed on the abdominal film. Like nipple ring wearers, patients are often reluctant to remove them for the purposes of having an x-ray taken.
