Unicornuate uterus

Presentation

Primary infertility for 4 years.

Patient Data

Age: 25 years
Gender: Female
Fluoroscopy

Hysterosalpingogram shows just the right side of the uterus filling in the contrast study suggesting a unicornuate uterus. Some filling defects are also seen in the uterus body most likely compatible with air bubbles.

Case Discussion

This case illustrates a typical unicornuate uterus, a Müllerian duct anomaly that is often associated with primary infertility, obstetric complications, amenorrhea and is commonly associated with renal anomalies.

Complementary assessment with pelvic ultrasound or MRI can helps to confirm this condition.
