Ureterocele

Case contributed by Saeed Soltany Hosn
Diagnosis possible

Presentation

Presented for an ultrasonography scan to make sure if she is pregnant. She has no significant past medical history.

Patient Data

Age: 35 years

Pelvic ultrasound scan shows a well-defined sonolucent tubular outpouching within the bladder lumen. The ureteric jet nicely demonstrates this thin-walled submucosal structure is patent (not obstructed). The ipsilateral kidney is not duplex (having no duplex collecting system).
