Presentation

Right side flank pain, nausea, and vomiting for three days.

Patient Data

Age: 45 years
Gender: Male

A calculus with coronal height up to 5 mm in the right side ureter upper segment and hydroureteronephrosis upstream are seen. Two calyceal microlithiasis up to 1.5 mm in the right kidney middle to lower pole are also noted.

Case Discussion

The case illustrates a calculus in the upper ureteric segment with upstream hydroureteronephrosis as the most common cause of ureteric obstruction and two calyceal microlithiasis in the right kidney middle to lower pole.
