Ureterolithiasis

A calculus measuring up to 6 mm is seen in the right proximal ureter, with upstream hydronephrosis. The right kidney is relatively enlarged due to hydronephrosis.
Case Discussion
The case illustrates an upper segment ureter stone adjacent to the UPJ on the right side and hydronephrosis upstream. Ureterolithiasis is the most common cause of ureter obstruction and the stone is usually impacted in the distal ureteric segment adjacent to the UVJ.
