Uterine fibroids - calcified

Age: 40 years
Gender: Female

Several rounded masses in the myometrium, some of them are popcorn calcified fibroids. Distortion of the endometrial cavity and contour deformity of the uterus caused by other smaller fibroids.

Case Discussion

Uterine fibroids are leiomyomas, benign tumors of smooth muscle origin and occur in between 20-50% of women over 30 years of age.
