25 year old with history of uncontrollable seizures. Prior history of myasthenia gravis and has had sternotomy, explain why ?

What is this device ?

Prior sternotomy for thymectomy for myasthenia gravis. Left sided vagal nerve stimulator for uncontrollable seizures.

Case Discussion

Indication for this device are uncontrollable seizures on multiple medications, severe depression.

Always placed on one side, the left vagal nerve.
