Presentation

History of intense headache, fainting, weakness. Stroke was suspected.

Patient Data

Age: 35 years
Gender: Female
ct

CT angiography shows hypoplastic right vertebral artery, it is small in all of the segments. The left vertebral artery is normal.

Case Discussion

Relatively frequent anatomical variant with evidence suggesting that it may be a risk factor for posterior circulation stroke, mainly in the posterior inferior cerebellar artery (PICA) territory.
