Presentation

Acute on chronic back pain. Previous spinal procedure.

Patient Data

Age: 75
Gender: Female
x-ray

High density material within the T8 vertebral body in keeping with cement.

Multiple thoracic vertebra superior endplate fractures, with a resultant kyphosis.

Osteopenic bones.

Case Discussion

Appearances in keeping with previous vertebroplasty procedure.

This is a spinal interventional procedure, usually deployed in vertebral fractures secondary to osteoporosis.
