Presentation

History of recent acute pancreatitis

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Female

A 175×95×120 mm cystic lesion without enhancing solid component is present at pancreas accompanied by mild peripancreatic fat stranding. A little amount free fluid is also evident. 

A few stones are seen in gallbladder less than 22 mm. 

The uterus contains a few small fibroids.
A 42 mm thin walled non-enhanced cyst is noted at right ovary. 

Case Discussion

Regarding to the patient history, Walled-off pancreatic necrosis (WOPN) is most likely diagnosis which is a late complication of acute pancreatitis. Differentiation of WOPN from pancreatic pseudocyst is essential because management differs and WOPN may need aggressive treatment to avoid complications.
