Patient Data

Age: 15 yrs
Gender: Male


Case Discussion

A lesion is noted on lateral aspect of wrist showing extension to palmer as well as dorsal aspect.

Location  -  Abutting distal radius, radio-carpal joint.

                - 1st extensor compartment and radial artery are superficial to lesion.

               - Lesion reaches upto 3rd externsor compartment.

               - Lesion passes deep to palmeris longus.

Echogenicity  - Anechoic

Posterior acoustic enhancement  -  Present            

Margins - Well-defined ,  regular   

Septations - Present    

Shape - lobulated

Compressibility -  Partly Compressible

Vascularity - Absent

It measures  long axis - 11 mm, antero-posterior - 10 mm, Transverse - 27 mm

 Neck of the lesion appear to extend deep to palmris longus tendon.

 No tenosynovitis is noted.

No joint effusion is noted.
