Case Discussion
A lesion is noted on the lateral aspect of wrist showing extension to palmer as well as dorsal aspect.
Location - Abutting distal radius, radio-carpal joint.
- 1st extensor compartment and radial artery are superficial to the lesion.
- Lesion reaches up to 3rd extensor compartment.
- Lesion passes deep to palmaris longus.
Echogenicity - Anechoic
Posterior acoustic enhancement - Present
Margins - Well-defined, regular
Septations - Present
Shape - lobulated
Compressibility - Partly Compressible
Vascularity - Absent
It measures long axis - 11 mm, antero-posterior - 10 mm, Transverse - 27 mm
Neck of the lesion appears to extend deep to palmaris longus tendon.
No tenosynovitis is noted.
No joint effusion is noted.
Diagnosis - Wrist ganglion
