Non-arthrographic MRI study of right hip reveals anterosuperior acetabular labral tear with a small paralabral cyst. Findings confirmed on arthroscopy.

Since there seems little evidence to suggest femoro-acetabular impingement or developmentally dysplastic hips, the likely etiology is overuse.
