Case Discussion

Understanding the type of gastric banding used, the normal radiologic appearances, the usual post banding complications is essential to provide an optimal report to the surgeon.

This patient was not finding sufficient improvement in weight loss following banding. Hence an alternative bariatric option -  laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy was due to be performed and a sceeening upper GI fluoroscopic study was done.
