No, despite being termed posterior, it can be found in a non posterior distribution, mainly in watershed areas, including within the frontal, inferior temporal, cerebellar and brainstem regions.
Must arterial hypertension be present in all the cases?
No. About 25% of patients have normal blood pressure.
