Besides the large sacrococcygeal tumor, the abdomen is markedly distended. Etiologies of abdominal distension in a young infant include:

• Wilms tumor
• Nephroblastomatosis
• Neuroblastoma
• Other renal causes: cystic nephroma, fetal hamartoma, embryonal sarcomas, etc.
• Massive ascites
