Minimal T1 hyperintensity, therefore, no substantial methaemoglobin excludes acute haematoma. On T1 almost has "mulberry"-like appearance. Considerable magnetic susceptibility on SWI consistent with haemosiderin but has T2 hyperintense rim suggestive of oedema. Note no abnormality on the MRA to indicate vertebral artery aneurysm.
