Rheumatoid arthritis of the clavicle

Discussion:

Erosions of the distal clavicle can be seen with multiple conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, hyperparathyroidism, and post-trauma. Rheumatoid arthritis can present with changes to both or a single clavicle. This particular patient has a known history of severe RA with positive serologic markers. Unilateral findings of erosions and surrounding soft tissue swelling are present.
