Biliary cystadenoma

Discussion:

Biliary cystadenoma is an uncommon benign tumor of the bile ducts. Being uncommon and pre-malignant, and since radiological differentiation from the more sinister biliary cystadenocarcinoma is unreliable, surgical excision is usually done.

Cystadenomas are usually intrahepatic lesions, and more commonly involve the right lobe.

Histopathology proved biliary cystadenoma.
