Lab parameters revealed an album-globulin reversal. The possibility of chronic liver disease was suggested to the clinician. Screening ultrasound abdomen revealed hepatic sonomorphology suggestive of chronic liver parenchymal changes. 

Hence a diagnosis of hepatolenticular degeneration was given.
