A very well circumscribed vividly enhancing mass is present in the suprasellar region, appearing to arise from the infundibulum, but separate from the pituitary and hypothalamus.
The differential is primarily between an infundibular tumour (e.g. pituicytoma) and a papillary craniopharyngioma.
