Perfect you must have spotted the intracapsular left neck of femur fracture but did you spot anything else?
Look at the lateral view. Endosteal scalloping is seen in the proximal femoral shaft.
What further imaging may you perform?
We obtained a frontal xray projection of the lesion. A CT chest abdomen and pelvis scan has also been arranged to identify underlying malignancy.
Left sided neck of femur fracture. minimally displaced. Lytic lesion in the subtrochanteric region on the left side with endosteal scalloping seen on the lateral projection only.
