Cervical stump squamous cell carcinoma

Discussion:

60 year old female patient describes offensive vaginal discharge following hysterectomy (10 years ago) due to a multi-fibroid uterus. MRI of the abdomen and pelvis demonstrated a cervical stump mass with parametrial invasion, pelvic sidewall invasion, right posterior urinary bladder wall invasion, enlarged right deep pelvic lymph nodes as well as multiple hepatic and pulmonary deposits.

The mass was pathologically proven to be squamous cell carcinoma of the cervix.
