Alison Deslandes

BMedRad (NM), GradDipMedSono, MMedSono, MPhil

Alison is a Specialist Obstetric and Gynaecological sonographer from Adelaide, Australia. Her main interests are endomtriosis, advanced gynaecology, 3D/4D ultrasound, fetal echocardiography and the psychosocial aspects of obstetric ultrasound. She completed a Masters by research in 2022 and is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Adelaide investigating the use of AI in the acquisition of scanning skills for gynaecological ultrasound. She has a long history as a general sonographer and is highly skilled in many facets of ultrasound including general, paediatrics, MSK and vascular. 

She is passionate about ultrasound and sonography and contributes broadly to the profession. She is an ASUM DMU examiner, committee member of the SA branch of the ASA, peer reviewer for multiple ultrasound-focused journals. She is currently to president of the Australasian Society for Ultrasound in Medicine (ASUM).
