An os vesalianum is a rare accessory ossicle of the foot, much less common than os peroneum or a non-united avulsion fracture of the 5th metatarsal styloid. Although asymptomatic, it may become symptomatic occasionally, causing lateral foot pain and requiring surgical excision1.
