Discussion:

900 gm twin born at 30 weeks with a history of retinopathy of prematurity. The child underwent photocoagulation at 1 month of age. At 4 months the retinopathy had resolved. The child was lost to follow-up and was seen at age 1 year for failure to thrive. Brain imaging and retinal exam confirmed complete retinal detachment bilaterally.
