Approximately 5 cm of mid transverse colon shows circumferential mural thickening and mucosal hyperenhancement with inflammation of a couple of diverticuli, localized pericolonic fat stranding. A couple of inflamed diverticuli also seen close to the hepatic flexure. No diverticuli in the remaining large bowel. No suggestion of any underlying neoplasm. A few reactive pericolonic lymph nodes are present.
Moderate fatty infiltration of the liver. 8.8 mm calcified granuloma in segment VII.
Conclusion
Features suggestive of active ascending colon diverticulitis.
Moderate fatty liver.
