Eagle syndrome

Discussion:

Normally, the ossification could be found in asymptomatic patients without clinical relevance. If the patient has symptoms as dysphagia, foreign body sensation, tinnitus or otalgia the ossification of the styloid process gains relevance, in order to make the correct diagnosis, as in this case (Eagle syndrome).

Sometimes requires the evaluation of cervical vasculature in order to evaluate its compromise.
