Abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA) are focal dilatations of the abdominal aorta. They can be asymptomatic or present with abdominal or back pain. Large aneurysms may present as pulsatile abdominal mass. Many AAA are diagnosed incidentally during imaging for other indications.
