Presentation

Right iliac fossa pain, suspected acute appendicitis.

Patient Data

Age: 55 years
Gender: Male
ct

Long mural thickening and enhancement segment involve the ileal loops, mainly the terminal ileum and the proximal ascending colon, associated with prominent perienteric vessels ("comb sign"), enlarged lymph nodes, fatty stranding, and prominent fibrofatty infiltration.

The appendix appears normal.

Incidental finding of retro-aortic left renal vein (anatomical variant). Few bilateral simple renal cortical cysts.

This is a case of Crohn disease with terminal ileitis. The patient has diagnosed with Crohn disease 1 year ago.
