Known patient to have left ear cholesteatoma with tinnitus on the right side
Patient Data
Left ear cholesteatoma with the left middle ear cavity, left aditus ad antrum as well as the left mastoid cavity are filled with a soft tissue mass with subsequent erosion of the left ossicular chain, left scutum as well as the lateral wall of the mastoid cavity. Deficient lateral mastoid wall mostly post-operative sequel. Intact left facial nerve canal.
Abnormally absent sigmoid plate between the right jugular bulb and the right middle ear cavity allowing the wall of the jugular bulb to bulge into the middle ear cavity.
Case Discussion
The right ear exhibits dehiscent jugular bulb, mostly responsible for the patient's tinnitus. The left ear shows cholesteatoma with bony erosions.
