Patient Data
A well-defined calcified left in the periventricular white matter of the parieto-occipital region. no associated regional oedema or mass effect.
Incidentally noticed Tornwaldt cyst of the nasopharynx with calcified wall.

Case Discussion
Cerebral cavernous venous malformations or cavernomas are common cerebral vascular malformations. They have characteristic appearances on MRI with popcorn appearance surrounded with the hypointense rim of haemosiderin on T2 and blooming on GRE/ SWI.
They may be associated with developmental venous anomaly (DVA) and must be reported.
