Minimally displaced transverse fracture of the base of the first metacarpal. No intra-articular extension.
Old non-united ulnar styloid fracture.
Case Discussion
An example of a pseudo-Bennett (or epibasal) fracture of the thumb, which in distinction from Bennett or Rolando fractures does not have intra-articular extension.
They usually arise from longitudinal axial loading and are classically stable and often do not require operative intervention.
