A few concentric, alternating hypo- and hyperdense ring artefacts are observed in the brain parenchyma, centred on the left high parietal region, centrum semi-ovale, and thalamus. No mass effect is noted, and there is no midline shift.
Case Discussion
The current CT findings reveal ring artefacts, indicating a fault in the CT gantry as detailed.
A ring artifact is a phenomenon that occurs due to miscalibration or failure of one or more detectors in a CT scanner.
