Discussion:

Nontraumatic small-bowel hematoma is a rare complication of oral anticoagulation therapy. Patients present usually with abdominal pain, intestinal obstruction or an acute abdomen.

CT characteristics range from circumferential wall thickening, luminal narrowing, intramural hyperdensity and intestinal obstruction.
