Type II bipartite patella

Discussion:

Bipartite patella is a developmental dysplasia in which the ossification centers fail to fuse. The bipartite fragment situated at the superolateral quadrant of the patella (type III) is by far the most common type occurs in 75% followed by lateral patellar margin (type II) among 20%  and inferior margin (type I) among 5%.
