Mature cystic ovarian teratomas (dermoid cysts) are slow growing ovarian tumors composed of derivatives of the germ cell layers: ectoderm, mesoderm, and endoderm. Therefore they can contain variable amounts of hair, fat, skin, teeth and bone.
