Non-obstructing unilateral ureterocele

Discussion:

Ureterocele is a congenital abnormality with cystic dilatation of the lower part of the ureter.

Ureteroceles may present as sepsis, renal failure, recurrent urinary tract infections or it can be asymptomatic.

Unilateral ureteroceles with calculus formation are not uncommon. This patient presents with dysuria and shows multiple calculi within ureterocele and no hydrnephrosis.
