Esophageal foreign body - coin

Discussion:

In the pediatric age, the most often ingested foreign body is a coin. On the frontal view, coins in the esophagus appear rounded on frontal view whereas those in the trachea appear linear as they take a sagittal orientation as they pass through the vocal cords. Below the carina level, it is almost always esophageal.
